Crabapple Montessori School was custom designed and constructed in 2002 specifically for the Montessori curriculum. In 2018, we expanded our campus to include a beautiful Elementary building. The campus is conveniently located in the Crabapple area of Alpharetta, Georgia near Roswell, Milton, Canton, Woodstock, and Cumming in north metro Atlanta.

The concept of a prepared environment is central to the intellectual development of the child, and having a school designed for this methodology is an important advantage for Crabapple Montessori School.

The Toddler/Primary Campus Is Designed to Provide a Safe and Nurturing Environment

This building houses 3 Toddler and 4 Primary classrooms. All but one classroom are around 1200 square feet. They are spacious and bright with large windows that allow plenty of natural light.

The building also includes a kitchen and lounge for the staff, and a conference room.

The spacious classrooms have areas for specific types of developmental activities. At all times children are engaged in different activities that match their interests. The layout of the room allows teachers to closely observe each child’s progress and giving guidance. The rooms are also constructed to allow observation by parents and staff.

Toddler/Primary Classrooms Offer Attached Gardens

Each classroom has an attached garden for children to engage in planting and harvesting under adult supervision. Children engage in weeding the gardens, plant herbs, vegetables, and flowers. The gardens provide them one of the ways to enjoy and value nature.

The Toddler/Primary Playground Offers an Area for Children To Play and Have Fun

Attached to the building, there is a large playground area that includes a number of play equipment for children of different ages to use, a gazebo for them to relax, and an artificial turf area for a variety of group activities.

The Elementary Campus

This beautiful 2 story building has 4 two thousand square foot classrooms. Each classroom has several large windows that bring in a lot of natural light. Each floor has a fully functional kitchen that is shared by 2 classrooms where students can engage in a variety of baking and cooking activities.

Built-in shelving and storage helps to organize and display the many hands-on learning materials that are integral to the Montessori curriculum.

The campus has a large lawn at the front of the building that includes a tall climbing structure where students engage in a variety of athletic and social activities. There is a gazebo at one end where students can relax and socialize between activities.

The area at the back of the building has a full size basketball hoop, a garden area for students to plant herbs and vegetable, and a number of picnic tables for small group activities.

An asphalt running track surrounds the campus for those who enjoy jogging during recess.
