The teaching methodology, curriculum, and environment are all designed to encourage children to follow their own intellectual curiosity.
When you visit a classroom, you’ll hear the buzz of children busily interacting and working with educational tools. Learning the Montessori way is a sensory experience, for everything from the basic alphabet to grace and courtesy to sophisticated math concepts. Our curriculum includes a full range of developmental experiences that shape the whole personality.
Just as in nature, where birds learn to fly by flying, in Crabapple Montessori School classrooms, the educational principle is to learn by doing. Teachers are guides, children are explorers.
What happens beyond the classroom is a lifelong curiosity and love of learning. Our goal is to prepare children to become confident, compassionate, creative contributors and leaders in the 21st –century society.

Classes are offered from September to May and are scheduled after the academic school day. Children can sign up at any time during the academic year; however, the preferred times to sign-up or to drop classes are at the beginning or end of the month.
“Journey through Georgia,” “Animal Planet,” “Life in the Desert,” and “Rainforest, Birds and Butterflies” are a few of the themes children explore in during Crabapple Montessori summer camp for eight weeks – all of June and July. Each week the theme is different with activities that combine Montessori learning with summer fun! Children can be enrolled for any number of weeks.
"Since our first child has been enrolled in 2015, we have absolutely loved our experience with Crabapple Montessori School. We now have a total of three kids at Crabapple Montessori: one in Toddler, one in Primary, and one in Lower Elementary. At every level, Crabapple Montessori School has continued to impress us. The staff is fantastic with the children, committed to the Montessori Method, and devoted to helping kids reach their full potential through that method. The school is a safe, loving, and welcoming environment, and our kids truly enjoy going! We never cease to be amazed at the progress our children have made toward becoming independent and thoughtful global citizens!"
